Customers are asked to rate Rent a Mac from 1 to 5 stars and say what worked and what did not. The form lives inside the customer portal, so unlike Google and Trustpilot only paying customers can reach it, which is why it is the largest sample here by a wide margin.
Most of these ratings are collected at cancellation, when someone is closing their rental. That makes this the harshest of the three sources and the one where the average sits lowest. A lot of them are people telling us why they are leaving. We would rather show that than quietly leave it out.
App development is too finicky when trying to pair to mac via Visual Studio, also couldn't get usb over the network to stay connected when hooking up iphone, probably an intention of Apple. Everything worked great otherwise, much much better than MacinCloud

Don't ever force someone to select a star rating in order to cancel their subscription or you'll wind up with a lot of one stars that would have been null instead.

macOS recognized my signing identities, but Xcode consistently failed to detect them. I spent considerable time clearing DerivedData, resetting provisioning profiles, restarting taskgated, reinstalling signing assets, and following all recommended steps. The issue persisted across all three sessions, indicating a limitation or corruption in the signing subsystem of the rented environments rather than any issue with my configuration.

Trouble/Limitations running Xcode
Me ha encantado, me ha servido para salvar un proyecto de la universidad. Es una pena que no se pueda pillar por horas para casos como estos, o que no haya un plan para estudiantes. Un poco cara para nosotros que no ganamos ni un duro, pero asequible para programadores senior (seguramente).

The service was great, a bit unfortunate that without a DeskIn subscription the streaming resolution was very low, but I understand that's not really in your hands. Overall I'm very happy with the service, especially the fact the machine was immediately available after the payment. I ended up buying a MacBook, so cancelling my subscription has nothing to do with the service itself. Also the customer support was very nice and responsive. Thank you!

I had some problems... First of all, I thought anydesk was the default method of connecting, but after I paid I learned that I had to use DeskIn, a software that is not available on Linux. Then after I finished my subscription, the system tried to bill another day of payment, even after I already cancelled the subscription - very sketchy. The actual mac worked pretty well after I managed to setup rustdesk
I just needed a Mac to setup my kids accounts and family sharing. They are getting iPads for Christmas. I really hope you destroy these instances and my data remains safe. Excellent experience (I'm not a Mac user obviously). This was just what I needed to make Christmas morning easier.

Very fast performance, low ping, no limit. I have tried a couple of services that offer cloud renting But this is by far the best value-for-money.
This is a very cool service. I was using this because I have time machine backups and there is a game I have been working on. My daughter spilled water on my mac and that is in for repairs. I am trying (hopefully will have access) to open my time machine backups (500+Gb) over network so I can get the most recent files to continue development. Again, this is a very cool service and it was smooth and fast.
